How to add DataMilk Custom Dimensions on Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

Set up DataMilk custom dimension

Below are the instructions that can be followed to set up DataMilk custom dimensions on GA4 property so that DataMilk Report can be created for DataMilk tagged sessions.

  1. Sign in to Google Analytics.
  2. Click Admin, and navigate to your GA4 property configured on your website.
  3. In the PROPERTY column, click Custom Definitions > Custom Dimensions.
  4. Click the New Custom Dimension button.
  5. Add Dimension name as “DataMilk Label”, Scope as “Event” and “Event parameter” as “datamilk_label” (note: this is case sensitive) as shown below:

6. Click Save.
